"The story that I want to tell you cannot be found in a book. They say the history of the West was written from the saddle of a horse, but it's never been told from the heart of one... not 'til now."  (beginning monologue for the movie, Spirit)

Supposedly from the perspective of a horse ...other characters are also viewed through the eyes of the horse.

Yes, there are other characters.

The eagles give a sense of believing ...that we can perhaps one day come close to soaring.

And there are militaristic type beings; others of the self-indulging type.

It may be easy to resist these types, and strive for my own unique independent spirit.

Yet, there are those who seem to threaten my inner being more. They appear to have a sort of kindred spirit ...but different.

How different??  I don't quite know ...just different somehow.

I sort of fear that if a time came that I realized that in certain circumstances that we need one another ...that I would be giving too much of myself.

I guess, I have not yet come to grips with the concept of compromise ...when it should be; when it should not; and the difference between when it adds strength to my own independence, opposed to when it does not.

I've been told that sometimes dependence gives us more freedom.

One time I may resent that I'm being ridden, yet there are times it almost feels good to carry another.

The Bible is not written for horses, yet there are over 200 references to them. Over a dozen more times than that ...is the mention of kings.

No yoke about it, we may want
at times to stay within our shell,
but life has its mishaps.

And even with all of the king's horses & all of the king's men ...they often can't put us together again.

Though the movie, Spirit, said the story it wanted to tell could not be found in a book ...what I want to share can be.

Though you can lead a horse to water, you can't make 'em write.  And only God can make it right ...made possible through the heart of Jesus.

Yes, the Bible is for ...us!!  The Word of God ...for us!!

Every sentence was written for us ...and, of course, referencing God & our relationship to/and with Him.

                                                 Let those feelings soar!!
